Nepal with UK and USA

a/ Relationship and cooperation with USA.

The friendly relationship between Nepal and the United States of America was established on April 25, 1947 A.D. (2004 B.S.) America is called the United States of America because this country is composed of fifty states. Its capital is Washington D.C. About 99% people on America are literate. It has made tremendous progress. The life standard of the people here is very high. From Nepal ready made clothes and other items are exported to the United States of America. America has been providing support for the development of Nepal. It has assisted Nepal in agriculture, health, transport and the communication, education, industry and administrative sector.

b/ Nepal – Great Britain Relations and Cooperation

Britain is also called the United Kingdom. Great Britain is composed of England. Its capital is London. There are hills, ridges, lowlands (basins), plains and gorges. This country is bordered by ocean from four sides. It remains foggy with mild rainfall all the year around.

Very few people here are involved in agriculture. Since it is very cold wheat, barley, potatoes and fruits are available here. 95% of the people here are involved in industry and business.

This country is economically rich. Big cities are developed there. Among those cities are: London, Buckingham, Manchester, Oxford, Cambridge, Edinburgh and Glasgow. In spite of the fact that Nepal – UK relationship is very old the friendly relationship was formally established in 1934, Around the year 1906 B.S., Rana Prime Minister Jung Bahadur had visited Great Britain. As a result of this Nepalese brave soldiers had fought in the First and Second World Wars in Collaboration with Britishers. Consequently, Britain could extended is empire all over the world.

Great Britain has been assisting Nepal in many areas. It has provided assistance for Budanilakantha School, Royal Medecine Research Center, Madan Bhandari Highway (Dharan – Dhankuta), Mahendra Highway (Nrayangarh Butwal sector) and capacity extension of Radio Nepal.
